Fernando Castillo de la Torre
Fernando Castillo de la Torre is member of the Legal Service of the European Commission where he currently advises on competition law and mergers. He studied both law and political science in Madrid, graduating in 1989 and 1990 respectively, and subsequently undertook postgraduate studies at Bruges.
He joined the Legal Service of the European Commission in 1996 and has been agent for the Commission in more than 250 cases in the EU Courts. He was referendaire to the President of the European Court of Justice between 1997 and 2002.
He has published on a wide variety of European law subjects ranging from litigation before EU Courts to competition law and external relations.
